Palworld TCG: What to Buy First
The Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME launched worldwide on 30 July 2026. Three products arrived at once, and only one of them is a sensible first purchase.
The launch lineup
- EBP01 Booster Pack "Dawn of Palpagos" – 7 cards per pack, 12 packs per box, 100 base card types plus 61 parallels.
- ETD01 Trial Deck "Dawn of Palpagos Red・Blue" – a ready-to-play red and blue deck.
- ETD02 Trial Deck "Dawn of Palpagos Green・Purple" – the same product in the other two colours.
Start with a trial deck
Bushiroad points new players at the trial decks, and the contents make the case. Each one holds a complete 60-card set (a 50-card main deck plus the 10 soul cards), a paper playmat, a play guide, a life counter, a material and ingredient counter, and one booster pack. It also guarantees one parallel-rarity card, either TSR or TSP, in place of a card from the main deck.
That is everything two people need to sit down and play, minus a second deck. Buying one of each trial deck is the cheapest way to get a two-player starting point.
Then add booster packs
Booster packs are for customising once you know which colours you enjoy. Remember the deck rules before you buy heavily: a main deck may use at most 2 colours, so a trial deck plus boosters in the same colour pair goes further than spreading across all four.
What comes next
Bushiroad has announced the Sleeve & Card Set Vol.1 for 2 October 2026, and a second booster pack, "Legends Awaken", for 30 October 2026. Neither is needed to start.
A note on price
Bushiroad publishes recommended prices for Japan only, where a booster pack is ¥440 and a trial deck is ¥1,980. No official English recommended price has been published, so anything you see quoted in dollars or pounds is a retailer price rather than an official one. English product reaches shops through Bushiroad’s distributor network, so a local game store is the most reliable place to look.
